Vila Foz Hotel & Spa is heaven on earth. Located in the Atlantic Ocean Coast and at only 20min of the heart of the city of Porto, Portugal The interior design project is the highlight of the venue. Signed by Nini Andrade Silva, he prizes for refinement and sophistication. The architect kept the details created in the 19th century when the building was built and combined them with the luxury and elegance of today.
The Onice rooms – 24 double or twin – are luxurious offerings, all with shower. The Onice Sea View are 35 double or twin rooms, with balcony and sea view, also with shower. Finally, the Manor House Rooms and Suites are four double or twin rooms with shower or bath and areas that can reach 36 square meters. At the hotel, you can also discover Vila Foz Spa, with four treatment rooms, relaxation area in the garden area, indoor pool, gym, Turkish bath and sauna. You will find the exquisite Maison Codage and Elemental Herbology products, whose sale in Portugal will be made here for the first time.
The gastronomic experience is divided into two restaurants: the Vila Foz, of fine dining, emphasizing the fish and seafood of the coast; and the Flor de Lis, of local and seasonal gastronomy with a sophisticated but relaxed touch. Both are managed by chef Arnaldo Azevedo.
To combine the aristocratic elements with what is modern in order to leave the environments timeless, Nini bet on subtle contrasts between pastels and nudes and the green and brown colours that leave the light of space more vivid. The result was harmony and balance between the old and the new, leaving the aesthetics inspiring.
Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean coast, the district of Foz do Douro, in Porto, is known for its chic restaurants and boutiques, as well as for the magnificent fortress of the XVII century Castelo do Queijo. Culture lovers are well served by the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, a cultural institution designed by the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira. The country’s largest urban garden, The City Park, is just a few minutes’ walks from the hotel and has 16 km of trails, lakes, rich and diverse flora and fauna and direct access to the beach.
