Porto Royal Bridges is a themed hotel where the rooms have different sizes and layouts, on all floors, for similar room types. For this reason, we, unfortunately, cannot guarantee that the room you are allocated in will be exactly the same as what you see in the photographs. Even so, the style remains the same, as well as the characteristics presented in the description of each room type.
The interior design project of Porto Royal Bridges Hotel, designed by Nini Andrade, took shape through the use of modernist elements, alluding to the bridges connecting the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia.
The essence of Portuguese cork, the use of the iron of the bridges crossing the Douro River and the glass are what makes this hotel so special.
Whether in the lounge or at the Eiffel Bar, cork is the bold host of the unit. The sober iron tones – grey and oil green – stand out in the corridors leading to the rooms. One of the most original notes was the use of the Viana green marble found and recovered from the old building and its projection in the decoration of the rooms.
