For one night, chefs José Avillez and Henrique Sá Pessoa will not cook what is on their restaurant menu. You will receive a suppressed letter from another world chef and from there create a meal. The two Michelin stars Belcanto and Alma, both in Lisbon’s Chiado, are two of the city’s four restaurants that receive another edition of Gelinaz.
“It is a pleasure and honour to be part of this SHUFFLE, particularly this year, for its creativity and globality, along with a strong message of sustainability,” explains the ALMA chef, honored to be part of this “unfiltered gastronomic extravaganza” alongside “some of the best and most irreverent chefs in the world”.
This initiative was created in November 2005 by Andrea Petrini, journalist, critic and also co-founder of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, described by Time magazine as “possibly the most powerful man in the fine-dining world.”
In all, 38 countries, 138 restaurants, 148 chefs, 700 hours, 2200 recipes, 8 dishes and 17 time zones. The provocative thinking of this unique event creates global friendships and culinary dialogues.
