Portugal Fashion Fall/Winter 19-20: Portuguese Fashion ♦ The 44th edition of Portugal Fashion Fall/Winter 2019-2020 starts this Thursday, the 14th, at Alfândega do Porto, and occupies the space until the Sunday, 17th, with over 30 runway shows occurring during those days. This year, the big news goes to the children’s fashion space.

The young talent is the big attraction of the first day of the event, with the runway shows of the platform ‘Bloom‘. Throughout the afternoon, Modatex students will present their proposals for Fall/Winter 2019-2020. After that, Ashma Karki, Daniela Pereira, Mara Flora, Maria Meira, Rita Sá and Sofia Silva take the stage. The day ends with the creator Hugo Costa and with the return of Maria Gambina to the passerelles, after a hiatus of five years.


Diogo Miranda, Luís Buchinho and Miguel Vieira are the highlights of the second day of the Portugal Fashion event, which also includes the presentation of the new Katty Xiomara collection and the Pé de Chumbo brand. On the third day, Saturday, 16th, it’s largely dedicated to the footwear sector, with the presentation of the Fly London, Lemon Jelly, Nobrand and Ambitious brands, among others. The creator Luís Onofre is in charge of closing the night with his collection for the cold season.

Sunday morning, the last day of the 44th. edition of Portugal Fashion is dedicated to the debut of “Portugal Kids FW powered by ModaPortugal”, which will be the stage for the runway shows of children’s brands, such as Laranjinha, Phi Clothing, Play Up and Turquesa Beach.
“The kidswear segment will thus integrate for the first time the official calendar of the event, which reflects the desire of Portugal Fashion to embrace the maximum subsector of the national fashion chain,” the organization’s source explained.

For the last round of runway shows are names such as Marques’ Almeida, Alexandra Moura and Carla Pontes. This 44th edition ends with the creator David Catalán. You can check the program in full here. Besides the runway shows, it will be possible to visit the ‘Brand Up showroom‘, with clothing, footwear, jewellery, accessories, leather goods and lifestyle products.
