A street restaurant was Maria Machado’s initial idea when she wanted to open a space dedicated to the Tartars in Lisbon. He got a spot inside the Ribeira Market in Lisbon, at the time of the opening of Time Out Market in 2014. The idea was in stand by, but the concept did not. Then debuted Tartar-ia. Five years later the project finally evolved into a street restaurant with the opening of Misc by Tartar-ia.

Misc by Tartar-ia’s menu is more extensive than the space that has been around since 2014. “We tried to play a lot more with meat than with fish.” Ribeira Market continues to see the space where they stock up daily. “In fishmonger, we are always told what is good.” Chef Vitor Santos, who opened the first restaurant with Maria Machado, has now returned to draw up this new letter.
