Vista Alegre is Portuguese porcelain, crystal and glass brand that is currently celebrating it’s 195 anniversary. And after earning 43 international design pries between 2017 and 2018, the brand continues on creating new partnerships and new projects in order to continue on following the high expectations of their clients. Mixing tradition, history and modern design this amazing and luxurious brand is a world known reference in tableware and decoration worlds.
Amazonia is the name of the collection of the Portuguese Brand with the non-profit Brazilian Association Ecoarts Amazonia. With more than 70 pieces in porcelain, glass and crystal, Vista Alegre, Casa Alegre and Bordallo Pinheiro joined forces for the first time for the preservation of the cultural, environmental, and scientific heritage. All the funds will go to the reforestation of the Amazonian Region of Mato Grosso with new trees in cities and indigenous villages.
This extended collection has tableware, gift and lightning and they all are produced in porcelain, crystal, glass and grés. The partnership was made with the purpose of creating economic strength, knowledge and respect for the Amazon forest and is bringing two sister cultures together with the Portuguese and the Brazilian. And, for each piece sold, a tree will be planted in the Amazon, the ‘lungs’ of the world. Through a surprising fusion of materials and techniques, this collection represents the Amazon as its truly: a vibrant mosaic of ecosystems, biodiversity, smells, colours and ancient costumes and people.
This collection was developed with the know-how of six generations of highly skilled artists of Vista Alegre and will be launched on the 17th of May in the flagship store of Vista Alegre in Chiado, Lisbon.
